We’re Looking for a Website Manager

Are you interested in learning how to build and manage a WordPress website?

We can teach you.

Keen to get some experience in digital content creation and website management to build your resume and career skills?

We can help you with that too.

We are looking for a volunteer to manage the BDABA website.

The BDABA website is a critical part of the basketball association’s communications infrastructure.

It’s where we post news and events, share important info about teams and the competition – it’s our single source of truth about everything to do with the BDABA.

The volunteer web manager would work alongside the committee to add and edit content on the website.

We anticipate the role would require a commitment of 2 – 3 hours a week, though this will fluctuate week to week.

The volunteer will receive thorough upfront training and on-going support as needed.

The qualities we’re looking for:

  • Energy, curiosity and a willingness to learn!
  • Basic digital literacy – experience with image/video editing apps like Canva is a plus
  • Access to your own computer and reliable internet service
  • Strong written language skills
  • Contactable, responsive, and an ability to complete tasks quickly when required

This could be a great opportunity for a student or a recent school leaver looking to boost their experience in websites and digital content.

(But people of all stripes are encouraged to apply!)

If you’re interested, or know someone who might be, reach out to us here: https://bdaba.com.au/subcommittees/
