Bairnsdale Basketball Association is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the 2026 Bairnsdale Junior Basketball Tournament, to be held on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December 2026, with a limited number of games also scheduled on Friday evening, 4 December, for local teams.
Following the successful return of the tournament last year, we’re excited to expand the event in 2026 to include all junior age groups, and we look forward to welcoming clubs from across Victoria for another fantastic weekend of basketball.

Tournament Details:
- Dates: Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 December 2026.
- Friday Night: A limited number of pool games will be scheduled on Friday 4 December for local teams where possible, helping maximise court availability across the weekend.
- Entry Fee: $420.00 (inc. GST) per team. Team entry fee includes player & spectator entry to all venues.
- Early Bird Offer: Register by 28 August 2026 and receive a $45.00 early bird discount, reducing the entry fee to $375.00 (inc. GST) per team.
- Game Guarantee: Minimum of three (3) games per team, with qualifying teams progressing to finals.
- Entries Close: 30 October 2026, or earlier if tournament capacity is reached.
- Grades: The tournament will feature A and B Grade divisions where entry numbers allow, with final competition structures confirmed following the close of registrations.
With anticipated strong demand and team numbers limited, we encourage clubs to submit their entries as early as possible to take advantage of the early bird pricing and avoid missing out.
Competition grades, fixtures, venue allocations, tournament rules and additional event information will be confirmed once entries have been finalised and distributed closer to the tournament.
PlayHQ invites have now been sent to clubs, to register your teams, please complete entry via your PlayHQ admin panel. Clubs will receive invoices for their entry fees.
Independent/non-club teams can enter their team via PlayHQ here – this link will charge the Team Entry fee at point of registration (contact us for the early bird discount code).

Fixture requests are to be emailed to Nick on tournament@bairnsdalebasketball.com.au no later than 5:00pm on 30 October 2026.
Please use “Fixture Request” as the email subject.

To minimise travel throughout the tournament, we will endeavour to schedule teams in venue clusters, limiting movement between venues wherever practicable while maintaining a balanced competition.
