Fees & Grading Information

The registration fees for the Summer Season are below:

BDABA Registration Fee = $143 GST Inclusive

Annual Basketball Victoria Fee = $34.00 GST Inclusive

Annual Basketball Australia Levy = $5.50 GST Inclusive

PlayHQ Fee = 1.89%

As per our By Laws, a 10% discount is available to families registering three or more participants per season. In order to get this discount, a request must be made via email to admin@bairnsdalebasketball.com.au and please provide names and grades of all participants being registered.

We have increased our fees to meet the growth of our competition and be able to support the resources required to run the domestic competition. Here at BDABA we are fortunate to be one of, if not the lowest overall costs to participate in basketball in Gippsland.

We understand such increases may be challenging during these times, if you need to discuss this further please contact us via email at admin@bairnsdalebasketball.com.au

Team selection and grading will be undertaken again by our Domestic Sub-Committee. We will be looking for more individuals interested in joining the Sub-Committee as the competition continues to grow, more support is required to help get key tasks sorted.

The aim of grading is to create a fair and balanced competition. The Sub-Committee are not perfect and will make mistakes but they do try their best to make the competition as competitive and fair as possible.

The first 3-5 rounds will be observed by key individuals and coach feedback will be sought in which changes may be made to teams. This means, any player may be moved to a different team. Please be mindful, if you are registering a player into our Junior Domestic Competition that they may be moved to a different team once the season has commenced.

Playing Out of Age & Wait List

Please only register for the age group you are required to play in. We have a seperate process for playing out of age.

To play out of age, you are required to place a request via the form linked below. If you are not registered for your own age group, you request to play out of age won’t be reviewed.

If you have a child who didn’t participate in the Winter Season but is wanting to play in the Summer Season. Please complete the below Wait List form and the association will be in contact.

BDABA Behaviour Policy

With our competition growth and an increase in behaviour issues, BDABA has developed a new Behaviour Policy to further develop a safe environment and further support for our young officiating group.

Our behaviour policy can be viewed here:

The policy is based on Technical Fouls and number of technical fouls during the season. The 1st Technical Foul will receive a written warning with a 2nd Technical Foul will be an automatic 1 week suspension. Additional technical fouls will lead to greater suspensions with all information found below in the behaviour policy.

By registering a team, you are agreeing to abide by this policy and will be the point of contact for any team related incidents that occur.

If you have any questions about the policy, you may contact our Referee Coordinator via email at referees@bairnsdalebasketball.com.au
