Summer season preparations are underway!
Season Begins October 14th 2024 – April 1st 2025.
Playing nights will stay the same, grade times may slightly differ.
Registration emails with all season information have been sent to junior graded current players, please check your spam inbox.

As our online waitlist is growing by the day, players will be allowed to register to 1 GRADED section only.
All graded teams will change for the Summer season.
Graded sections will stay the same, as the Association have had only one full season of graded competitions, the committee have decided to have no change for Summer season.
The process of creating new teams for next season has begun, the hope is to finalise teams by the start of September school Holidays. Coaches will be involved in helping to create teams that are fair and balanced. When the teams and coaches have been confirmed we will let members know via email, BDABA website and Facebook.
Coaches will be involved, with a committee representative at final team selection day. 17Th September- Coaches present only. Team selection times TBA.
Changes may be made to teams’ week 4-5 and down the track if warranted.
If you have a request for your player to be on a certain team, because of travel, family, or other issues, please let us know. We will try and accommodate reasonable requests

Under 14s Boys going up to U16s Ungraded:
As the under 16 Boys section is ungraded, players are welcome to ask to join EXISTING teams they know.
If any players cannot find a team, the association will be happy to form a team of these players.

Fill-In rules:
Changes will be made to Summer season fill-ins, Fill-ins will only be allowed to make a team up to 5 players.
If the fill-in is a BDABA registered player they must be from 1 grade above or 1 grade below, not from the same grade.
The fill in may be unregistered but must adhere to 2 fill-in games for our Association per calendar year. Per Basketball Victoria’s policy. On the 3rd game they must be registered to that team or no longer fill in.

Extra Grades for Girls Competition:
We are very excited to next season expand our girl’s grades to Under 12, 14 and Under 18 Graded competition.

15 Point points cap Under 10 mixed, Under 12 Boys, Under 12 girls.
The 15 Point rule will remain the same for the Summer season, this will now include the newly formed Under 12 girls for parity.
The committee introduced a 10 Point cap in T10’s and is also finding it working well within this grade.
