The 2024 Bairnsdale Basketball AGM is on 5.30pm, Thursday 24 October 2024, at the Hub.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is our mandatory annual gathering of Association Members. The primary purposes of an AGM include:
- Reviewing the Year’s Performance: The President presents an annual report detailing the Association’s performance and strategy over the past year.
- Financial Transparency: Members receive updates on the company’s financial health, including the presentation of financial statements.
- Voting on the Committee Positions: Members vote on the election of Committee members.
All members are invited and strongly encouraged to attend. By attending the AGM, you play an active role in the club’s future and help ensure it continues to grow and improve. Your participation is important and highly valued! A quorum of 20 members must be present for items of business to be conducted, otherwise the meeting is postponed.
There is a Special General Meeting (Extraordinary General Meeting) scheduled for straight after the AGM, to discuss proposed changes to the BDABA Constitution. A quorum of 20 members must be present for items of business to be conducted, otherwise the meeting is postponed.

NOMINATING FOR A COMMITTEE POSITION
Joining a committee is a fantastic way to give back, grow personally and professionally, and be part of something bigger than yourself. If you have the time, skills, and passion, consider becoming a committee member and making a meaningful contribution! Committees provide a platform to influence decisions and drive positive change within the organisation. Your contributions can have a lasting impact on the community and the Association’s future. Serving on a committee also allows you to develop and hone skills such as leadership, strategic planning, and teamwork. These skills are valuable in both personal and professional settings.

- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- 3 x General Committee Members
